On one of our trips we followed Bavaria westward to head to the Romantic Road; our overnight stop in the middle landed us in Meersburg. This was our first castle visit in Europe, and we learned what "old" really is. We also found that the museums trust the public (mostly) with the lack of cases, barriers and signs. You are expected to respect history. I found beauty in the light in the kitchen, just a simple working room, as opposed to one of the grander chambers.-Bryant White
