"Trade Route"

The Natives of 18th Century America used the most basic of transport to ply their trade goods; rivers were the highways, narrow trails were the back roads. It was not uncommon to travel hundreds of miles in a season to trade furs, reed mats, and other goods to friendly tribes and Europeans.
