Much Confusion Outside"
Original Oil 24"x36"
-price on request
The battle on the American right
flank began in earnest at the Birmingham Meeting
House. Earlier in the day it had been set up to
be used as a hospital by Washington....the Quakers
held services that day elsewere, humbly noting
"Today there was much confusion outside".
As the British Light Infantry and German Jaegers
pushed, the defense behind the walls at the the
meeting house became more resolute...the 200 men
of the 3rd Virginia regiment held steadfast, falling
back only after expending all of their ammunition,
and the appearance of the main body of Cornwallis's
Army, several thousand strong.
